How to Still Find Your Target Audience With the 2018 Facebook Targeting Changes

Fear not my social media comrade because we’ve got a few tried and true methods for finding your target audience, despite these new changes.
1. Find Your Target Audience on Facebook by Interests
When you are trying to find people to advertise to, it’s not a bad idea to find people that are interested in what you are selling. Facebook has always made it relatively easy to discover what peoples interests are; as they share them on their pages about themselves. Search up the right interests, and you will be well on your way to finding people that want to buy what you sell.
2. Find Your Target Audience on Facebook By Demographics
Facebook always has and probably always will let you target your ads to specific groups of people based on their: age, gender, location, etc., things that group them into varying groups known as their demographic. The bottom line is that if you want to advertise to a specific demographic, you will still be able to.
3. Auto Bids Can Help You Reach Your Target Audience
Auto bids, If you want, you can switch on the AutoBid feature on Facebook, this may end up costing you a lot more money, but it will guarantee that you are always winning the bids on getting the right keywords that will let your ads get seen by your target audience.
4. The Lookalike Audience Feature
There is a little-known feature that has been around for a long time that not everyone is familiar with, it’s called a Lookalike audience. It’s where you upload your current customer profile(s) to Facebook, and they copy that and find more folks to advertise to that match your current customer profiles, demographics, and interests. Now you couple that with Autobid, and you can basically call yourself Cambridge Analytica because you can almost do the impossible!
We get it, Facebook is removing Partner Data from the equation, and you are freaking out. Let’s be honest with ourselves though; Partner Data is more or less like using steroids, it’s cheating. Yeah sure, it’s fantastic, and you can achieve crazy goals with it, goals that are next to impossible with good old fashioned Facebook advertising but hey, all good things come to an end, and Partner Data is no different.
